About Us

Don't you hate About Us pages that have absolutely no information 'about' the website you are visiting?

Hello and welcome to Heidi Duty Time!

This website is an online training and support platform for people who wish to pursue a career helping Veterans with daily activities of living.

The site was founded by Heidi Christensen, who has been actively caregiving for several decades.

Heidi founded the 501c.(3) non-profit organization Kent, LLC in order to develop processes and systems for helping Veterans. She is herself a Veteran, and the #1 priority of the organization is to:

Eliminate Veteran Suicide

Our Mission

To end Veteran suicide.

To restore dignity to those who served.

To selflessly comfort the injured.

Following up on the act of selflessly comforting the injured, it’s important to also consider providing emotional and mental support to those affected. In addition to providing physical care and comfort, it is just as important to listen to their stories and be there for them during such trying times. Being able to provide that kind of support could go a long way in helping them heal and building a stronger community.

Our Values

Respect all persons.

Strive for excellence.

Following up on our motto of striving for excellence, let’s take a moment to evaluate our progress and determine what changes we can make to reach that goal. Working together as a team, each and every one of us can bring unique ideas and insight to the table to help us get closer to achieving greatness. Let’s come together and develop a plan to make sure everyone is held accountable for their part in the process. With hard work, dedication, and commitment, anything is possible – let’s strive for excellence!

Our Promise

We serve those who’ve served. Our promise is founded in the aspiration of human diginty and comfort.

Aspire to be the very best in all you do. When you strive for excellence you set yourself up for success, no matter what your field of work may be. Whether you are an artist, athlete, teacher, or professional, aiming for excellence can help you reach your goals and maximize your potential. Excellence can be attained if you stay creative, motivated, organized, and put in the necessary hard work. With that in mind, take the initiative now and strive to be the very best version of yourself.

About the Founder

heidi christensen - founder, Heidi Duty Veteran Caregivers

My experience as a service family member gives me a passion for teaching gun safety as a health issue. I earned my Home Care Aide license in WA State, and have worked as an unpaid Caregiver in an unlicensed capacity much of my life.

I served as Cemetery Commissioner in Milan District #5 Spokane County, WA as a Libertarian Party member from 1999-2001. I have since moved on from the Libertarian Party, while I respect their economic education more than any other political party.

One of the most heart breaking things about my service as Cemetery Commissioner was helping family members whose young loved one was killed due to senseless drunk driving or violence.

We must build a dominant culture where all lives have equal value so no one enters death before their natural time.
